Alice

Was in the mood to make some Alice in Wonderland themed pieces:

Below is a set of 5 coordinating cards. All rubber stamps used for the above and below pieces are from Oxford Impressions.

The central part of each card was created on thin cardboard coasters(thank you Kaz). Then just mounted on coordinating papers.

The other month Little Black Scrap Cat gave me this award and I totally forgot to blog about it. But I am now :) It's a happiness blog award. I'm to list 10 things that make me happy and then send the award forward to 10 blogs that make me happy.

10 things that make me happy:

1. My family.
2. Montana, Montana, Montana.....especially his laughter and dancing.
3. Raspberry Tea
4. Art
5. Beautiful weather...the kind where you can open your windows to let the fresh air in.
6. Good health
7. Good friends like my buddy Kaz who are there for you and won't ever sugar-coat a situation knowing that honesty is the best thing ;)
8. Kings of Leon
9. Photos...the memories of certain days, events and moments.
10. XOXO's from the two most important guys in my life. (yes, i know that #1, 2, and 10 are basically the same but they make me the happiest).

I am supposed to pass this award on to 10 blogs that make me happy but there are way more than 10 blogs that I would have to list and it would be very hard to name just 10. So I pass it on to everyone.

That's it for now....later.

I don't have the talent for this so I admire those who can wrap their mind around such pieces. I enjoy looking at all the details and wondering "how did she think of putting that with that?" thanks for the mind break from work! Enjoyed it...

In the midst of the craziness of life, remember to carve out some "you time," a little "mother culture," and make something lovely each day to nurture your own soul, and then you will have more to offer to others and prevent burn out as well. And don't forget that The Artistic Mother's Art Group can help with that. I find that the group is helping me to balance life, motherhood and being artistic.

I'm so glad you are a part of our group, and I look forward to seeing your versions of the projects we are all doing together in The Artistic Mother by Shona Cole. Please let me know if there is ever anything that I can do for you or if you ever have any questions.

May God bless your day.
