Week #?

While Walking
I was supposed to title my posts with the week number but that wasn't a good idea since I don't have a clue what week number we are on :) The above piece uses rubberstamps from Red Lead. The little pixie girl is one of my favorites and I have used it many times.

Other Curiousities
Unconditional
Blue Whisper
The above three pieces uses images from my favorite door collage sheet. I have used these images before but had to use them again since I never tire of them. The little eggs are also from Retro Cafe Art.

Grow With Love
The above atc was made with supplies from Retro Cafe Art from the Jenni Bowlin line(stickers, rub-ons, grow card). The little nest is also from Retro Cafe Art.

Love 44
The atc's above and below are fabric atc's that were made for a personal trade.

XOXO
I recently got a branch and birdie die-cut...love them. I have used them in some of the pieces above and in the card below.

Remember Me

Have a great weekend!!!

p.s. I have emails to respond to and will be replying to them this weekend.

Some fab creations Audrey. The stitched ATCs are fab. Your colour choices are so mellow. That's a great texture effect round the first one (while walking).

Those are absolutely amazing.

I just started An Artistic Mother's Group where we will be going through 12 projects together from Shona Cole's new book The Artistic Mother. Her desire is to help mothers find a to fit art into their every day, even if it's just a little something. I would so love for you to join us. You can read more about it on my blog; and if you're interested in participating, just leave me a comment, and I'll add you to the list.

Trudy

PS If this is not something you are interested in doing at this time,or even if you are, maybe you could do a little blurb about it for me so that other artsy moms can join. It might be a help to them if they are looking for inspiration and/or an accountability group. We start March 6th, but anyone can jump in at any time. We will spend two weeks on each project. Blog about our progress and link to all of the other participants. Thanks so much for your consideration.

I am so thrilled that you are joining The Artistic Mother's Group.
We will be allowing two weeks for each project. But if you get behind, please don't worry. Just keep working a little each day. The whole point of this group is to develop the habit of doing art each day. It is also so we can encourage one another and be an accountability group. I personally need the accountability part of it. Knowing that others are coming to see what I'm up to is very motivational; otherwise, I may not finish it on my own. Some projects may be easier for you than others and may allow you to catch up. But if you don't, don't get discouraged. Just keep on going. This is a low pressure group. I want everyone to have fun and also enjoy visiting one another.

Each week do a post of your progress as you go through the book. Please either include links to the other participants in your posts each week or keep them posted in your side bar or you can give the link to my blog in each progress post stating that the master list is on my blog that way everyone can click around and visit all of the other participants' blogs and see everyone's progress for encouragement, inspiration and to encourage.

A real easy way to do the linking would be to have a separate blog list from your main one labeled The Artistic Mother Group and keep all of the participants on that list on your sidebar. Then you don't have to put the links in every progress post. That's what I'm going to do. Each progress post I make, at the end of the post, I will list any new participants. So please check my blog each week for the new comers so you can update your participants' list.

Other things to be doing before we get started: Buy the book if you haven't already, start reading it, start gathering a stash of papers: newspapers, magazines, flyers, ticket stubs, scrap booking stickers, etc., to be used in future projects. The first project will have us making background papers.

I am signing up as follower and putting you on my blog list so I can know when you post, and I am adding your name to the list right now.

Again, I am so glad you could join us. See you on March 6th, our launch date.

Note: Due to copyright laws, we are not allowed to do tutorials or step-by-step photos of the projects on our blogs or take photos of the pages in the book and post them. You may post a photo of your version of the project and talk about your experiences and feelings relating to it.

Also, if you are doing this project with a friend, each person must have their book unless you are doing it together under the same roof. No photocopying of the book, please.

Hi Audrey, Love your little bird collages, grow with love is adorable...you are ever inspiring to me. I haven't gotten back to making my collaging yet. I remember how terrible I was at it when I started...lol. Perhaps I'll be that way again. I'm always doing something. Right now I've been spinning and plying my Shetland wool. Charcoal gray with bits of deep blue mohair spun in. Have you ever tried spinning? Its very enjoyable...smile. Addictive though, like most things tend to be when you like hands on stuff. Better run, its almost bedtime. I was supposed to be getting the movie...'Up' to watch (I love that movie, and have seen it about 4 times already), but got waylaid by the pc. goodnight...

These collages are great, Audrey! I really love the pieces with the door images. I also love how much depth you get with your collage layers - such fun to see what you create :-)
